About Us

Butler Creative Director, Leona Butler comes from a background of early childhood care, from when she was a family day care educator when her children were little (regulation reform was just beginning then and things have come a long, long way in the sector!) Which is a fantastic outcome for children and families, but sometimes has been difficult for centres, FDC schemes and educators to navigate through the requirements for business compliance, educational outcomes and reporting and (let's face it) red tape.

While there are plenty of fantastic educational resources out there - there are not as many which support the business and compliance side of the sector. Our aim is to create resources that come from an understanding of best practice operations. We have consulted with experts in centre based education and care and family day care (especially private schemes which have much less support). After our first big year of producing the diaries we have also listened to you the customer about what is useful or not, and any other feedback and are continually improving our production and content so we best satisfy your needs.

It is our hope to keep adding to our offering of resources that are valuable to you the business owners and educators because they are specifically designed to make your lives easier and also - we love to put a creative spin on what we do - so compliance doesn't need to be boring!
